With DMLS, it is possible to create 3D printed metal parts directly from a computer model. The main material for creating such a piece of powder is a metal alloy. This technology is used for industrial 3D printing. In a metal 3D printer, a very fine layer of metal powder is spread across the surface of the part. Then, a powerful laser in a 3D printer melts the powder exactly at the points defined by the CAD model. This completes a layer of 3D printing. This procedure is repeated until the piece is complete:
Three stages of DMLS technology
-The 3D printer continues to spread the metal material layer by layer
-The laser melts exactly the desired shape in each layer
-The 3D printing area grows layer by layer.
